Competetion 2003 rvcb was using people with almost perfection. Competetion 2005 rvcb is never like before. A great difference.
Competetion 2005 is not going to be easy. WASBE 2005 is held in Singapore. A major event in the world where the top people from the music circle will gather in Singapore. High probability that they will involve the competetion as part of the event lined up. Judging will be critical and tough. Perfection is required for that standard of gold, and the value of the gold medal will obviously rise. Win it and glory is ours, break it and there goes what took the rvcb seniors and alumni 9 hard years to build up. We are there, and everyone knows rv's fame in the band scene. It will surely not be nice to drop dead.
It will take its toil on the sec4s next yr the most, stress and scoldings are always there. But hang it in there, overcome the problems. Its not that easy i know, but i believe you can. Competetion cannot function without stress, but it is how you manage it that matters. Take example of Wee Ann... he was the SL, he went in the competetion and led the section. Scolding and practises never left him. But he managed to pull through the difficulty of competetion and got a 8 for his L1R5. Does not sound that impossible to manage between band and schoolwork after all. Its the determination and ur feelings for the band that matters. Care for the band, care for the rvcb name and most importantly take good care of your juniors. They are not that difficult to deal with, but it requires skills. Its not the time to fool around anymore. U all know the situation now best. Be critical and precise with them. Mistakes must be mentioned at all cost, and corrected quickly. Not that easy but try hard.
Next yr sec3s. Listen to ur seniors. Yes they are nice to you all, but still remember they are your seniors. They must be respected and obeyed. The fault that occured now as yanru had said before - seniors are simply too close to juniors that the juniors even dare defy senior's orders. Seniors have a reson for every order they make, and it is for your own good. Take it seriously and perform any task properly and effeciently. Effecieny and feelings for the band are the most important. They are the stepping stones to greater success. I know that the LEAPS cca system is very tough, but still remember that phrase "once a bandsmen, always a bandsmen" Its that commitment and determination that will bring the band to greater heights.
Band next yr will surely be an important part of your schoollife. Practises may be as frequent as everyday after school. Non-complusory events are not meant to be ignored. They are to release your stress level. But these non-compulsory parctises are those that will allow you to perform better and soar greater heights. We all left with a great legacy, gold awards many many name-boosting performance. It took us great pains to place rvcb in a position of prestige. Dont let it fall to noughts.
